African Landscapes
During his stays in Zimbabwe and Kenya, Rens brought his photo equipment alongside his painting materials. At Bumi Hills, in Zimbabwe, he set up a daylight studio and portrayed the camp members with his medium size format camera, a Hasselblad, beginning a cycle of landscape photography that he pursued during his next journeys from Zimbabwe to Kenya.
Whereas when it comes to the African continent the main focus of photography is on animals, Rens chooses to draw a special attention on landscapes, although sometimes animals are part of them.
The opening of this exhibition will take place on the 25th April, 3-7 pm.
